augmenting merit. The total number of Hindu
Samskaras is listed as FIFTY-TWO.Out of these, TEN are obligatory for
all the Hindus.

feeding of the Child.

ceremony.
NOTE:
However Hindu Scriptures have given even greater importance to
ATMA GUNAS, ( Character and Conduct,) than to the
Samskaras.(Rituals.)
