SERVED (1959-1962  )AT  SIR THEAGARAYA College  as Lecturer in History, later in the same capacity(1962-1965 ) at The Andhra    LOYOLA    VIJAYAVADA. Joined and served at The Madras Loyola College (1965June-1994  June.) in various capacities such as Lecturer, Professor, Head of the PG Dept of History. Served simultaneously as HOD in charge of the Dept of Sociology, as Dean of Arts, as Member College Governing Board etc.
Besides Handling subjects in History, Political science and public Administration to the Under Graduate and post graduate Classes, designed courses and introduced and taught papers for Loyola and other autonomous Colleges in the state.

DESIGNED AND INTRODUCED  SEVERAL  GENERAL-ELECTIVE  COURSE  PAPERS  UNDER THE OPPORTUNITIES  OFFERED  UNDER  THE  COLLEGE   AUTONOMY,  SUCH  AS   GANDHIAN   STUDIES,  WORLD  PEACE,  INDIAN  ADMINISTRATION,  FUTUROLOGY  ETC.
ALL   THESE  COURSES   WERE   STUDIED    BY   NON -HISTORY   STUDENTS   WITH   GREAT   ENTHUSIASM

Among the several responsible positions held in the co-curricular activities the following are a just a few illustrations. These were taken up  to serve the student community purely out of personal commitment and dedication to the cause education and youth formation. These experiences gave this author personal satisfaction and spiritual fulfilment in all the programmes and projects undertaken over three and half decades involving the student community till the date of retirement. These positions of trust and responsibility included 

• Lieutenant as NCC  OFFICER, 

• NSS DIRECTOR, 

• DIRECTOR  DAY SCHOLARS CENTER,

• COURSE  DIRECTOR  TOURISM AND  TRAVEL  MANAGEMENT,

• Deputy Hostel Warden.

SERVED ON SEVERAL VARSITY EXAM  BOARDS.
SERVED ON TNPSC AND PONDY STATE  EXAMS  BOARDS .  CONDUCTED  MORE THAN  60  SOCIAL SERVICE  WORK CAMPS ALL OVER  THE  STATE. 

ORGANISED  TOURS  ALL OVER INDIA AND ABROAD

ATTENDED AND PRESENTED  PAPERS AT SEVERAL NATIONAL AND REGIONAL AS WELL AS  IN THREE INTER-NATIONAL CONFERENCES --   AT  PARIS (1989,) AT BANGKOK(1993), AND AT NEW YORK(2001 Jan,) ON SUBJECT LIKE WORLD PEACE, COMMUNAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY, ASIAN UNITY, FAMILY VALUES, INDIAN HISTORY AND CULTURE, RELEVANCE OF MAHATHMA GANDHI AND HIS IDEALS, HUMAN RIGHTS ETC. 

Addressed and Lectured to several batches of visiting Research Scholars, Academicians, University Students from western universities primarily on subjects such as Indian Culture, Tamil Values, Gandhian Ideals and their Relevance to day.

SERVED AS CHAIRMAN 10^th  STD  SOCIAL STUDIES, ON TAMIL NADU  TEXT BOOK COMMITTEE. EDITED SEVERAL YOUTH MAGA ZINES  AND BOOKS.
CONDUCTED  MOCK  UN  AND  PARLIAMENT SESSIONS  IN SCHOOLS AND IN COLLEGES
COACHED  STUDENTS FOR INTER-COLLEGIATE DEBATES,SYMPOSIA. 

TAUGHT  CIVIL  SERVICES  (IAS,IPS,IRS ETC)EXAMS   AT THE  CATHOLIC  CENTRE  FOR MORE THAN  30  YEARS. TOOK CLASSES IN HONORARY CAPACITY FOR STUDENTS PREPARING CORRESPONDENCE COURSES - POST GRADUATE CLASSES IN SUBJECTS SUCH AS INDIAN HISTORY AND CULTURE, POLITICAL  SCIENCE, AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Among several  positions held to serve fellow teaching community are DIRECTOR  STAFF  CO-OP  SOCIETY,JOINT  SECRETARY  ASSOCIATION OF  UNIVERSITY  TEACHERS (AUT,) Vice president Staff Association etc. Membership in Academic Bodies and Educational Organisations are omitted.
Besides the list of membership in several service oriented public association and positions held to serve the public in various capacities as President , as Secretary on  Residential Welfare Associations and Temple Committees etc are not listed here.

INTERESTS: 
HUMAN RIGHTS, WORLD PEACE, STUDY OF LANGUAGES, DRAWING AND PAINTING, COMPOSING BLANK VERSE IN TAMIL AND ENGLISH on contemporary issues.
